can we talk about how margaery tells sansa a meaningless lie to make the rest of her words seem like truth.  she makes up porridge pox and teases sansa with it because now sansa’s seen her lie, and it’s sweet and endearing, and margaery is on her side!

only she isn’t.  she’s yet another person in a long line of people who are using sansa for their own agendas.  margaery happens to be genuinely kind and sweet and probably good for sansa, but she’s still manipulating sansa with every fibre of her being.  she’s still using sansa for her own ends and her family’s ends.

two scenes earlier you see varys and olenna take a walk much like the one margaery and sansa go on where they discuss making sure sansa doesn’t leave kings landing with littlefinger.  so what do you think margaery is doing if not manipulating sansa?  and she’s the master of it.  she plays the game better than anyone, and she does it with a sweet smile and a loving heart.

which is yet another reason this ship makes me uncomfortable, because just like sandor/sansa and petyr/sansa and tyrion/sansa, in margaery/sansa margaery has all the power.  only, at least in sandor/sansa and petyr/sansa, sansa is on her guard.  here sansa doesn’t even know she’s being lied to.  she doesn’t know to be afraid.  she’s being manipulated and used and she thinks margaery is the person who’s going to get her out.

and when it doesn’t work out, when sansa’s forced to marry tyrion, margaery is going to smile sadly and shake her head and not lift a finger to save her.  and you know what?  that’s fine.  because sansa stark saves herself.
